Lymphatic System Herbs

This page includes herbs that exhibit actions on the lymphatic system such as: alterative, detoxifier, lymphagogue, blood purifier, lymphatic, and more. The herbs listed here do not fall under all of these categories; with each herb I have included what its main action would be on the lymphatic system, but many of these herbs have more effects on this system, and on many other systems in the body. It’s also important to note that many issues involving detoxification or poor cellular health have been remedied with non-herbal interventions such as staying hydrated, incorporating supplements like magnesium, B-vitamins, zinc, and more in your diet, consuming a whole foods diet, and getting in regular movement. Lymphatic massages or deep-breathing exercises can also help promote drainage of the lymph. Please see the Materia Medica page, or Teas & Guides, for more information on specific herbal actions.
